Bumble Bees
Bumble Bees is for our youngest children up to their 2nd birthday. We have qualified and highly experienced staff who lead this area and operate on a 1:3 ratio, with every child having a key person to form their first important bond with when they start nursery to provide them with the best possible start.
We work closely with the Early Years Foundation Stage to ensure children are given opportunities to develop and reach their full potential. Your child’s key person will plan individual learning experiences for each children based on their own observations, and parent feedback. We feel supporting parent’s contributions is essential to a child’s learning and development.
The area has a quiet area where children can sleep and rest or just have quiet time with their key person. We provide a range of experiences for the children including opportunities to explore creatively using a range of natural resources. The area has a door directly onto their own decking area for outdoor play. From here they can access the main playground, or have safe space so they can see the wildlife which visits the garden, watch the weather and differing seasons and observe the older children playing.
New children are offered a settling in programme individually tailored to meet their needs, as we understand that some children need longer to build up relationships with staff members.
